Canziani Crest

Leonardo Canziani - Fine English Bone China

At some stage you are bound to come across a Canziani original. Whether you are enticed by his limited edition, or better still, you prefer to commission an original, you will be following in the footsteps of countless discerning collectors. The unmistakable craft and individual characteristics of this self taught, internationally acclaimed, sculpture artist are recognised worldwide from London to Tokyo and Sydney to New York.

He was born in the Provence region of France, of Sicilian heritage. At the age of nine he moved to Buckinghamshire and eventually attended the university to study art.

Whilst training he met and later married his wife Linda. They moved to the small rural village of Chalgrove, some ten miles from the ubiquitous spires of historic Oxford.

Here in the heartland of the English countryside he found the inspiration for all his early works. After fourteen creative years he relocated to Worrall on the edge of the wild but picturesque Yorkshire moors, which have influenced his later work. During this period he was awarded several gold medals for his sculptures, which have been exhibited throughout the country. He has obtained his BA. (Bachelor of Arts) in ceramics and his wife decorates the sculptures having trained as a ceramic artist under the guidance of the eminent Emrys Pugh. Nowadays he divides his time between the wilds of the Yorkshire moors and the sub tropical swamps of Southern Louisiana.

Commissions are received from the elite of the interior design profession who seek items of originality and authenticity to transform a room or apartment for clients with imagination. Innovations from the Canziani studio are now receiving critical acclaim in the United States. No two pieces are identical, thus giving the possessor of a sculpture by Canziani a unique item to treasure.

There is an old saying,

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever,"

~ never more so than here.
